Happy 2007! The Organization of Women Leaders has been busy working to make this another amazing semester of bonding, personal growth, and service. We have a new E-Board of fantastic women eager to expand our organization and create an empowering environment for CMU’s female leaders.
Over the past few weeks, we have been hard at work preparing for our Spring Recruitment. Beginning Thursday February 1st, OWLs will be accepting applications for new membership. We are looking for active female leaders with a desire to empower women while embracing sisterhood and community involvement. Check out the ‘Prospective Members’ icon near the top of the page for more information. Applications are due Monday, February 19th.
Another event that we are particularly excited about is Women’s History Month coming up in March. To commemorate, we will be compiling information on the female leaders of our past, present, and future for posters and distributing them to local schools. We will also give the information to Resident Assistants on campus for use on their monthly bulletin boards.
Also for Women’s History Month, we will be hosting a Women’s Panel featuring strong and amazing women from CMU’s faculty and staff. Check back for more information!
